CTE combines academic knowledge with hands-on training to prepare students for skilled careers in high-demand fields. STRONG WORKFORCE: LARC #19STRONG
The Strong Workforce program helps California community college students train for in-demand, good-paying careers. It funds colleges to expand and improve career programs that lead to real job opportunities and stronger local economies.

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

PERKINS V: The Perkins Grant (Perkins V) funds career and technical education to help students build skills for high-demand jobs through hands-on learning, apprenticeships and support for special populations.

CTE HIGH SCHOOL ARTICULATION

The CTE high school articulation program connects local high schools and regional occupational programs (ROPs) with Citrus College through an articulation agreement. This agreement allows students to earn college credit for CTE courses completed in high school or ROP.

High school courses are reviewed by faculty at Citrus College in the relevant discipline. If the courses are deemed comparable, students may earn college credit through "credit by examination," also known as the CBE process. To receive credit, students must achieve a score of "B" or higher on the CBE exam. These exams are proctored at Citrus College unless alternative arrangements are made.

The Technology Engineering Building is located on the east end of campus, near Hayden Hall and the gymnasium, with parking lot access from Barranca Avenue. The CTE administrative offices are located in TC 147.
