Parking Permits | Citrus College

All vehicles parked on campus must have a valid Citrus College parking permit associated with that vehicle at ALL times, except when parked in metered spaces. Ignoring any parking regulations or information delineated in administrative procedure AP 6750, will result in a $35 citation for each violation.

All vehicles must be parked in their designated parking areas or lots.
All vehicles must be parked FACING INTO A STALL (head in parking ONLY).
Student parking permits or employee parking permits are NOT valid in CLIENT or METERED parking stalls.
Leaving personal notes on vehicles to explain unauthorized parking does not grant permission; such vehicles will be ticketed. Parking permits are issued exclusively by campus safety and are not transferable to others.

TYPES OF PERMITS

ONE DAY PERMITS
If you do not have a valid permit for your vehicle, you may purchase a one day permit. Daily permits may be purchased at any automated pay station (APS) machine. The APS machines are located throughout campus in the S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S8 and S9 parking lots. The APS machines accept cash or Visa and MasterCard. Daily permits are good only for the day of purchase. Permits of this type include, but are not limited to, special event permits, dispenser permits and one day visitor/event permits.

METERED PARKING
Metered parking spaces are available in the S1 and E6 lots. The cost is 25¢ per 15 minutes, with a maximum time of 30 minutes. Meters accept coins only. Expired meter parking will be cited.

MOTORCYCLE PERMITS
A separate motorcycle permit is required. This permit is ordered through the iParq website. Motorcycle parking pads are indicated on the campus map. Do not park motorcycles in automobile stalls. This is a violation and the motorcycle will be cited.

NO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION PARKING
No parking for Metro light rail line, Park and Ride or any other public transportation services is allowed in any campus parking lot. Vehicles will be cited.

STUDENT PARKING PERMITS

All vehicles must have a valid permit registered with campus safety. Only enrolled students may purchase a student parking permit. Only registered vehicles may use a permit.

All parking permits are "virtual." The vehicle license plate you register when purchasing your parking permit will act as your "virtual" parking permit.

To make the purchase and registration process easier, you can buy your permit and register your vehicle online through the iParq interface using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard).
Once the online process is completed, your parking permit will be activated.

PERMIT COST
The student parking permit fee is currently $70 for fall and spring semesters and $34 for winter and summer semesters. During fall and spring semesters, there is a reduced parking permit fee for students who receive the California College Promise Grant (CCPG) fee waiver.

WHERE TO PARK
Students with a valid parking permit may park in student lots only. These lots are identified by a sign stating "S" and the parking lot number. Signage can be found on various light posts in the lot and are indicated on the campus map.

Students may NOT park in employee or client parking.
All vehicles must be parked facing into the stall (head-in parking only).

ACCESSIBLE PARKING
Parking spaces for persons with a disability are available in all campus lots. Vehicles using these spaces must display a valid DMV placard or license plate along with a valid parking permit. The minimum fine for illegally parking in an accessible parking space is $330.

REFUNDS
Students, who in error, purchase the wrong parking permit through the iParq website may request a refund with campus safety. A $10 processing fee may be charged per refund.

Students who drop their classes, or have classes that were canceled and have purchased a semester parking permit through the iParq interface, may request a refund with campus safety. A $10 processing fee may be charged per refund.

All parking permit refunds will be processed in accordance with district standards and refund deadlines. Requests for refunds submitted after the district's refund deadlines will not be processed.

EMPLOYEE PARKING PERMITS

Employee permits are issued to faculty, CSEA members, supervisor/confidential employees, managers, college trustees and Foundation board and committee members only.

Employee permits are valid for thirteen months, beginning August 1 of each year through August 31 of the following year. All employees must order a parking permit online via the iParq parking system.

Employee permits are issued to individual employees and are NOT transferable. If an employee permit is used by anyone other than the employee, campus safety will cite the vehicle. If employment is terminated, the permit becomes invalid.

NO ADDITIONAL PERMITS: One permit per employee is issued; however, two vehicles may be registered on the account. If you are switching vehicles, ensure the vehicle is registered to the permit.

OTHER PERMITS ISSUED

CONFERENCE AND SPECIAL EVENT PERMITS
Campus safety can provide special parking permits and arrangements for conferences or other events upon request. Organizers of these functions can coordinate parking through campus safety by calling (626) 914-8611.

To request parking arrangements, please submit a request that specifies the number of permits needed and the dates, and send it to the campus safety office at least ten days in advance.

Visitors attending events without prior parking arrangements must purchase a daily parking permit for $5 at automated pay stations located in parking lots S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S8 and S9.

RETIREE PARKING PERMITS
Upon retirement from the district, employees may be issued a lifetime parking permit. Please visit the campus safety office in person or by phone at (626) 914-8511 for details.

VENDOR, CONTRACTOR, CONSULTANT PERMITS
Off-campus vendors and service providers who park on the college campus and perform maintenance and repair services for campus departments must have a parking permit. These permits are valid in designated staff and student parking lots.

Vehicles with commercial license plates may park free in designated loading zones for the purpose of loading and unloading only. Unless otherwise specified by contract, contractors doing work within the campus must arrange for parking in advance.

Consultants not on the college payroll, but doing work for campus departments, may be issued parking permits.

ABUSE OF A PERMIT
Campus safety has the responsibility to notify the Glendora Police Department, the dean of students or the appropriate administrator, ensuring that any necessary disciplinary action is taken promptly and effectively.
