Accessibility Statement
Citrus College is committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment where all students, including those with disabilities, can fully participate in academic and campus life. We strive to ensure that all programs, services and technologies — including electronic and information technology — are accessible to everyone.
This web page serves as a central resource for information about accessibility standards and available accommodations. In alignment with federal law and guidance from the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office, Citrus College responds promptly to requests for alternate media and ensures accessibility across all services.
FEEDBACK
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Citrus College digital environment.
If you encounter barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact the

CONFORMANCE STATUS and ADA TITLE II (WCAG 2.1 AA)
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) establish standards to help designers and developers create more accessible digital
experiences for individuals with disabilities. These standards are organized into
three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA and Level AAA.
Citrus College prioritizes conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards and works to ensure that its website, digital content and online services are accessible and usable for all students, faculty, staff and members of the community.
AN UPDATE FROM OUR CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
MEMORANDUM TO THE CAMPUS COMMUNITY · WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22, 2026
As we approach the previously established April 24, 2026 milestone related to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) updates to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II requirements, please note that the federal deadline for meeting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards has been extended to April 26, 2027. This extension provides additional time to ensure that all digital assets, including web content, mobile applications and documents, meet accessibility requirements.
OUR PROGRESS IS FOUNDATIONAL
Although the formal compliance date has shifted, the work completed to date remains
essential. Recent remediation efforts, training and audits have established a strong
foundation and have already improved the experience for students and community members
who rely on assistive technologies.
MOVING FORWARD
Digital accessibility remains a shared responsibility. Our goal continues to be an
inclusive experience that ensures equal access to all Citrus College resources.
The college remains focused on improving PDFs, strengthening web page structure and maintaining an inclusive digital environment. Updates will be shared as progress continues toward the April 26, 2027 compliance date.

Technology and Computer Services (TeCS)
We engage with vendors to obtain Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) based on the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT).
A VPAT is a standardized document vendors use to describe how accessible their product is. Once completed, it becomes an ACR, which serves as a report card for accessibility, outlining how well a product meets recognized standards and where improvements are still needed.
These reports enable the college to evaluate third-party tools against established accessibility standards, ensuring that the technologies we adopt support and serve our diverse campus community. Accessibility is not static but an ongoing process of improvement. This commitment ensures that, as technology evolves, our institution remains inclusive, supportive and increasingly accessible for every individual we serve.
Through the procurement process, ACRs are collected and reviewed to assess each tool’s accessibility. We also work with vendors during renewal cycles to review updates to their ACRs, ensuring continued progress as products mature and accessibility features improve.
