Community education classes are fee-based, which means they are self-supporting and funded through student fees rather than state funds. Fees are determined by several factors, including class length, instructor salary, administrative and operating costs, course materials, minimum enrollment and facility rentals. Please note that fees do not include textbooks or supplies. Class descriptions identify those courses with an additional materials charge.

Community education offers flexibility to meet a variety of interests and schedules. Students may choose from one-day classes, multi-week courses or special all-day workshops and seminars. Most classes are conveniently scheduled in the evenings and on weekends to accommodate busy lifestyles.

WHEN ARE CLASSES OFFERED?
Community education classes are designed with flexibility in mind. You can choose a one-day class, a multi-week course or a special all-day workshop or seminar. Most classes are scheduled in the evenings and on weekends to accommodate busy schedules. Start and end dates vary throughout the semester, so be sure to review the schedule carefully to ensure you don't miss the class you want.

WHO TEACHES THE CLASSES?
Classes are taught by experts in their fields. They bring hands-on, practical information to the classroom and present class materials in a format appropriate to the audience served.

You can view the current class offerings online (then click on the "Browse" link at the top).

WHERE DO CLASSES MEET?
Most classes are offered either on the Citrus College campus or online. Classroom locations for on-campus classes are not available at the time of scheduling and publication; however, room assignments will be mailed to you prior to the start of class. The campus map will also indicate the building and room where your class meets. In addition, some classes are held in local community locations. For those courses, the specific address will be provided in the schedule.

REGISTERING IN COMMUNITY EDUCATION CLASSES

WHO CAN ENROLL?
Community education classes are open to all adults in the community. Many courses are also available for children and teens with parental consent.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Pre-registration is required for all community education classes. Registering early secures your space (since some classes have limited enrollment), helps us determine whether a class will run and ensures we can notify you if a class is canceled. To guarantee your spot, please register at least three days before the class begins.
