Citrus College has a powerful new safety tool, and it fits right in your pocket.
Citrus Guardian is a redesigned mobile safety app that gives students, faculty and staff on-demand access to several key safety services, from emergency contacts and virtual escorts to real-time location sharing and anonymous tip reporting. The app is now available as a free download via the App Store and Google Play.
While app use is voluntary, it is recommended that students, faculty and staff download it and become familiar with its features.
Top services include:
- Emergency Contacts: App users can call 911 or campus safety with the click of a button.
- Friend Walk: Campus community members can send their locations to another individual in real-time. Family and friends can then watch the app user walk to their destination.
- Text a Tip: App users can communicate with campus safety in real-time to discretely report information.
The previous Rave Guardian campus safety app is no longer supported. To download the new app, follow the instructions below:
- Search for "Citrus Guardian" in the App Store (for iPhones) or Google Play (for Android phones) and download it for free.
- You may be prompted to verify your phone number and location – select "U.S." and "Citrus College."
- On the next screen, enter your Citrus College email address and confirm.
- You may be prompted to verify the information on an "Is this you?" screen. Review the information and, if accurate, select "yes" to continue.
- A welcome screen will appear. Read through the info and click "agree."
