Congratulations to Citrus College alumna Nayiri Baghdassarian, who shared her Citrus story with the campus community at Convocation last month!

A San Gabriel Valley native, Nayiri graduated from Citrus College in 2013 with an Associate of Arts for Transfer (AA-T) Degree in Psychology. While at Citrus College, she served as ASCC vice president and helped put on a zombie flash mob voter registration event with help from various departments and clubs.

After Citrus College, she earned a bachelor's degree in political science from California State University, Long Beach, and a master's degree in public policy from Claremont Graduate University. Currently, Nayiri serves as the director of public policy for the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership (SGVEP), where she works on economic and workforce development for the region.

"Citrus College helped me achieve my goals on my terms with creative and innovative pathways," she said. "I was able to achieve so much more during my time there than I ever thought possible in a college experience."

We're so proud of you, Nayiri! Keep up the great work!
