Home Health Aide
The Citrus College Home Health Aide program is offered during the winter and summer intersessions and is approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
This 40-hour course is designed for current certified nursing assistants (CNAs) who want to expand their skills to provide care in home health and residential settings. The program includes 20 hours of theory and 20 hours of supervised clinical experience. Upon successful completion, students receive a skill award and become eligible for certification as a home health aide by the State of California.
Departmental approval is required to enroll. Admission is limited to 15 students and is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. To receive the application and program details, students must attend the mandatory orientation for the intersession in which they wish to enroll, as application requirements may change. All required documents must be submitted to the health sciences office in the Professional Center Building (PC 204) and must remain valid throughout the program.
