The nurse assistant program at Citrus College offers a rewarding entry point into the health care profession. Designed for students who want to make a difference in the lives of others, the program provides the knowledge, skills and hands-on experience needed to deliver quality care in long-term care facilities under the supervision of licensed nurses. Nurse assistants play a vital role on the health care team, helping patients maintain comfort, dignity and well-being.

Graduates of the program are eligible to take the Competency Evaluation Examination for California Nurse Assistant Certification, administered by an approved state testing agency. This certification opens the door to employment opportunities throughout the health care field.
