Congratulations to Christina Adamo, a psychology and sociology major who recently graduated from Citrus College!

Twenty-three years ago, Ms. Adamo had to cut her pursuit of higher education short. She thought her dream of earning a college degree would be forever out of reach. However, after hearing the success story of someone with a similar background, she was inspired to enroll in classes at Citrus College in early 2020.

"It was really hard to come back. I was nervous – especially when I walked into class and saw that everyone around me was really young," Ms. Adamo said.

"Fortunately, all of my classmates were great. To be honest, I was surprised at how focused they were. I enjoyed watching them and seeing their willingness to learn."

Now, Ms. Adamo will be transferring to Cal Poly Pomona in the fall. Her goal is to use her education to help children and at-risk youth.

Way to go, Ms. Adamo! The Citrus College community is behind you and knows you will do great things!
