Articulation is the process that connects two educational institutions to help students transition smoothly from community college to a four-year college or university. This ensures that students do not face delays or duplicate coursework.

At community colleges, certain courses are deemed equivalent to those at universities. This allows students to satisfy university requirements by completing an identified equivalent course (an articulated course) at the community college. Articulation can occur on a course-to-course basis for major requirements and general education requirements. In some instances, courses may only be articulated as elective courses, meaning that while the credits will transfer, the course does not meet any specific requirement.

Citrus College has articulation agreements with various institutions of higher education, including University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) campuses, as well as private and out-of-state colleges and universities.
