Betzabel Martinez, Ed.D.
director of student equity and success programs

The student equity and achievement program (SEAP) is committed to ensuring equitable educational opportunities and promoting student success for learners representing diverse racial, gender, age, disability and economic backgrounds.. At Citrus College, efforts focus on identifying educational equity gaps and providing targeted services and resources to support academic excellence.

Following the guidelines set by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office (CCCCO), the SEAP committee reviews data to guide decisions on program implementation and service delivery. The resulting student equity plan highlights disproportionately impacted (DI) student populations at Citrus College and establishes goals to enhance successful enrollment, term-to-term persistence, completion of math and English courses, degree and certificate attainment and transfer rates — through comprehensive academic and student support services campuswide.
