Student Research in Physics
The Citrus College Physics Department is committed to providing undergraduate research opportunities for our students.
Students work with physics faculty to investigate real-word challenges by following a systematic approach that includes defining the problem and performing a literature review, followed by developing a project to collect and analyze data pertinent to the problem investigated.

PRISM SUMMER RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
PREDICTIVE RESEARCH INTEGRATED FOR STUDENT MASTERY (PRISM)
In summer 2026, Citrus College students participated in PRISM, a project-based STEM research experience supported by AMATYC funding. Students used programmable microcomputers and environmental sensors to investigate real-world environmental questions, collect and analyze quantitative data and communicate their findings through technical research presentations.
