Study abroad to visit France, Spain and Ireland
After a number of trips were canceled due to the pandemic, students from Citrus College and the Southern California Foothills Consortium are once again studying abroad.
The current study abroad cohort is spending the fall semester in London with Citrus College psychology instructor Erin Tate and College of the Desert speech instructor Edwin Reed.
"It is fitting that our first program abroad since spring 2020 is in London, which was the site of the very first Citrus College study abroad program way back in 1984," said John Morris, study abroad specialist.
In January 2023, Citrus College students will join instructors Dr. Senya Lubisich and Dr. Jennifer Miller-Thayer on a monthlong trip to Paris. Originally planned for the winter of 2021, students will study in Paris and visit the Louvre, Mont-Saint-Michel, the beaches of Normandy and many other cultural and educationally significant locations.
In spring 2023, the study abroad experience will be held in Madrid with instructor Dr. Elisabeth Garate and faculty/students from consortium colleges. The summer 2023 program will take place at Trinity College in Dublin with instructors Gerhard Peters and Theresa Villeneuve.
In fall 2023, students will have the opportunity to study in Rome. The program will feature Italian language and culture courses, as well as art education with instructor Michael Hillman.
