GET A JUMP START ON COLLEGE!

Dual enrollment at Citrus College gives high school students the opportunity to take college courses while still in high school. These programs are designed to foster an inclusive, equity-centered environment that supports students from all backgrounds. With comprehensive wrap-around services, dual enrollment helps students succeed academically, work toward degrees and certificates and gain confidence through transformative college learning experiences.

KEY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN DUAL AND CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT

Through a College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) partnership agreement between Citrus College and participating school districts, students can enroll in college courses held during their regular high school schedule. These courses allow students to earn both high school and college credit at no cost.

Tuition, fees and materials are completely FREE under the CCAP agreement. Students may enroll in up to 15 units, but no more than four classes offered through CCAP.

We have dual enrollment–CCAP partnerships with the following secondary schools/high schools:

Azusa High School
California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley (CSArts-SGV)
Claremont High School
Duarte High School
Glendora High School
Monrovia High School
Opportunities for Learning – Duarte
San Antonio High School (Claremont Unified)
School of Arts and Enterprise (Pomona Unified)
Sierra High School (Azusa Unified)
Tri-Community Adult Education (Covina Valley Unified)

Note: Degree and certificate pathways may vary based on the specific dual enrollment–CCAP agreement between the school districts and Citrus College.

Concurrent enrollment allows students who have not graduated from high school to take college courses offered on the Citrus College campus and through online modalities (hybrid, synchronous or asynchronous).

Students must obtain approval from their school principal or designee to participate.

Enrollment fees are waived for up to 11.5 units; however, students are still responsible for applicable college-related fees, textbooks and course materials.

GETTING STARTED: STEPS TO BECOME A CITRUS COLLEGE STUDENT

If you need assistance completing the steps to get started, support is available. Visit the Welcome Center on the first floor of the Student Services Building (SS 103), located next to admissions and records, for in-person help.

BECOME A DUAL ENROLLMENT–COLLEGE AND CAREER ACCESS PATHWAY STUDENT

STEP 1. APPLY TO CITRUS COLLEGE

Complete the CCCApply application for the term you wish to start your college courses (fall, winter, spring, summer)
Once Citrus College processes your application, you will receive a "Welcome Letter" to your email.
If you do not receive an email within seven business days, contact the admissions and records office at (626) 914-8511.

STEP 2. COMPLETE THE CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT FORM

Students must submit the Concurrent Enrollment Form through the my.citruscollege.edu portal.

The student's parent/guardian must approve or deny the student's participation.
The student's high school designee must approve or deny the student's participation.

STEP 3. WORK WITH THE CITRUS COLLEGE DUAL ENROLLMENT OFFICE AND HIGH SCHOOL

The dual enrollment office registers students for their dual enrollment–CCAP classes as long as the student has fulfilled all of their requirements. Once registered, the student should be able to view their course(s) within their class schedule.
The high school provides the students with information about where their courses will be held on campus.

BECOME A CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT STUDENT

STEP 1. APPLY TO CITRUS COLLEGE

Complete the CCCApply application for the term you wish to start your college courses (fall, winter, spring, summer)
Once Citrus College processes your application, you will receive a "Welcome Letter" to your email.
If you do not receive an email within seven business days, contact the admissions and records office at (626) 914-8511.

STEP 2. MEET WITH A CITRUS COLLEGE COUNSELOR

To determine which courses best align with your academic goals, you must meet with a Citrus College counselor.
To schedule an appointment, contact the Citrus College Counseling and Advisement Center at (626) 914-8530.

Please note: Citrus College counselors cannot confirm whether a college-level course will count for dual credit toward high school A–G requirements. Students should consult their high school counselor for guidance on this matter.

STEP 3. COMPLETE THE CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT FORM

Students must submit the Concurrent Enrollment Form through the my.citruscollege.edu portal.

The student must specify which class or classes they plan to take.
The student's parent/guardian must approve or deny the student's participation.
The student's high school designee must approve or deny the student's participation.

Please note: A Concurrent Enrollment Form must be submitted each term the student wishes to enroll in a concurrent course.

STEP 4. REGISTER FOR YOUR COURSE

Once the form is completed by all three parties, students can register for their course(s) through the my.citruscollege.edu student portal.
