Your disbursement is determined by the number of units you are attending and the start date of your classes. Only classes that have started will be counted towards your enrolled unit eligible for each disbursement. Your Federal Pell Grant is disbursed in two separate disbursements each semester (see disbursement schedule above).

If you are enrolled in:

  • Full-Time = 12 or more units
You will receive your full Federal Pell Grant in two disbursements for the semester. Only courses that have started will be counted towards your unit count for disbursement purposes.

  • Three-Quarter Time = 9.0-11.5 units
Depending on your Expected Family Contribution (EFC), your disbursement will be reduced to 75% of the awarded amount.

  • Half-Time = 6.0-8.5 units
Depending on your Expected Family Contribution (EFC), your disbursement will be reduced to 50% of the awarded amount.

  • Less than Half Time = Less than 6 units
