Responsibilities and Assignments
The Classified Staff Development Committee seeks input from all sectors of the college and the community and fosters collaboration not just within the committee but encourages input from various campus constituencies. The committee has effectively and collectively increased classified participation and involvement on various campus activities as well as enhances their skills and knowledge to advance the educational mission of the college. Through training, workshops, projects, tuition reimbursement and recognitions the committee has elevated collaboration to a higher level that generates substantial results and cultivate good will. Furthermore, the committee has worked with numerous faculty members to engage and train our classified staff as well as use their expertise in leading workshops and seminars. The committee helps our students by ensuring our classified staff is well informed, trained and motivated to foster student success and completion.
Schedule of Meetings
The Classified Staff Development Committee will meet monthly at a mutually agreeable time convenient for all. Currently, meetings are scheduled on the last Wednesday of the month, 2 p.m. in the CI 237.
Goals
The Classified Staff Development Committee has outlined the following as its goals:
- refine the staff development guidelines
- increase interest and participation in the program
- increase awareness of the program
- develop and provide workshops
