The Segal AmeriCorps Education Award is a post-service benefit earned by individuals who complete an approved term of national service​. The award may be used to pay educational expenses or to repay qualified students loans.​​

​Scholarships for enrolled members of a federally recognized tribe.

Requirements: Provide a Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) card or documentation verifying status of membership in a federally recognized tribe.

How to Apply: Native American students must apply through their tribe, home agency, or area office of Indian Education. Contact the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Education website or by phone (866) 703-7100 or email helpdesk@bia.gov​

Provides grant funds to help pay for the cost associated with attending college.

Requirements: Have a high school diploma or its equivalent; have a minimum 2.0 high school or college GPA; meet household and income standards; and enroll in an eligible academic program of not less than one academic year.

Award Amount: $1,672/yr

Length of Eligibility: Up to four years for undergrad students depending on length of program.

How to Apply: Complete FAFSA or the California Dream Act Application​ and submit high school or college GPA ​​

Deadline: March 2; September 2 if student missed the March 2​ deadline.

Provides grant funds to help pay for book and supplies.

Requirements: Have a high school diploma or its equivalent; enroll in an occupational, vocational, or technical program of no less than four months in length; and enroll in a minimum of six units.

Award Amount: $1,094/yr

Length of Eligibility: Up to two years for undergrad students depending on length of program.

How to Apply: Complete FAFSA or the California Dream Act Application​ and submit a supplemental application. A verified GPA is optional and can improve changes of receiving an award.

Cal Grant A pays tuition. Cal Grant B pays tuition and book and supplies.

Requirements: Complete at least 24 college units and plan to transfer directly to a four-year college or university. There cannot be a gap in enrollment between attendance at the California Community College and the four-year institution.

Length of Eligibility: Up to two years at the transferred four-year college or university.

How to Apply: Complete FAFSA or the California Dream Act Application​ and submit a college GPA. Once awarded, complete the Transfer Entitlement Certification form found on WebGrants for Students. ​​

Deadline: March 2

A tuition fee waiver program which does not require repayment.

Requirements: California resident or AB 540 eligible; have at least $1,104 of financial need; or be receiving TANF; SSI/SS; General Assistance; or meet required income/household standards. See application for additional eligibility categories.

Award Amount: Waives tuition and discounts parking fee and student health fee.

​How to Apply: Complete FAFSA or the California Dream Act application or the online or paper CCPG application.

​​Deadline: June 30​ each year. Students submitting a FAFSA in lieu of the CCPG application should do so early enough so the FAFSA application will be received at Citrus College by June 30.

The CMD GI Bill® issues educational awards to qualifying members of the California Army or Air National Guard, California State Guard, and the California Naval Militia. This state grant can pay for up to 100% of the tuition and fees at a University of California, California State University, or a California Community College. It can also be used for eligible California proprietary and private institutions.

​​Deadline: Priority deadline is April 30. Thereafter on a first come-first serve basis until awards are exhausted.

A federally funded grant program designed for undergraduate students who are current or former foster youth.

Requirements: Be eligible, or have been eligible for foster care between the 16th and 18th birthday; and not have reached the 22nd birthday as of July 1 of the award year. The California Department of Social Services will determine student's foster youth eligibility status.

Award Amount: Up to $5,000/yr

​How to Apply: Visit the Citrus College scholarship web page to apply. Citrus College scholarships require an application sometime in spring semester.

​​Deadline: The scholarship application remains open for four weeks each spring semester.

A program at Citrus College that increases college access for first-time college students, provides student support, and promotes completion.

Requirements: Students must participate in Early Decision program, sign IWCC pledge, enroll in a minimum of 12 units each semester, complete financial aid file, and complete program unit and GPA requirements.

Award Amount: All mandatory fees covered. Students participate in textbook loan program.

Length of Eligibility: Two-years

How to Apply: Students must participate in the Early Decision program at an area high school. ​​

Deadline: Early Decision takes place during student's senior year.

A federal loan for parents of dependent students. Loans must to be paid back.

Requirements: Student must be enrolled at least half-time and be eligible for federal student aid; both parent borrower and student must be US citizens, nationals or eligible noncitizens.

Award Amount: Up to unmet cost of attendance.

​How to Apply: Complete FAFSA, entrance counseling exam, and submit a loan application to the financial aid office.

Deadline: Two weeks prior to the end of the semester for which loan is sought.

A federal subsidized loan for students enrolled at least half-time. The interest is paid by the federal government during repayment grace period and deferment period. Loans must to be paid back.

Requirements: Have financial need as determined by the FAFSA and be enrolled at least half-time.

Award Amount: First year $3,500; Second year $4,500

Length of Eligibility: Up to 150% of program length.

How to Apply: Complete FAFSA, entrance counseling exam, and submit a loan application to the financial aid office.

A federal loan in which interest is charged during all periods after the loan is disbursed. Loans need to be paid back.

Requirements: Be enrolled at least half-time.

Award Amount: Varies by student dependency status, grade level, and aggregate limits.

Length of Eligibility: Up to annual direct loan limit based on year in school and dependency status.

How to Apply: Complete FAFSA, entrance counseling exam and submit loan application. ​​

Deadline: Two weeks prior to the end of the semester.

A grant for students with exceptional financial need.

Requirements: Be enrolled at least half-time. Pell grant recipients with the most need receive priority.

Award Amount: $100-$500/yr

​How to Apply: Complete FAFSA every award year beginning October 1.

​​Deadline: Awarded to students with the most need on a first come-first served basis until funds are exhausted.

The award provides part-time employment to students who have financial need. Jobs are usually available both on and off campus. The program allows the student to gain work experience and pay for a portion of their educational expenses.

Requirements: Demonstrate financial need; maintain enrollment in a minimum of six units during the fall/spring semesters and three units during the summer/winter terms.

A grant for undergraduate students with financial need.

Requirements: U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen; have valid social security number; enrolled in an eligible program; maintain satisfactory academic progress; and not in default on a federal student loan.

Award Amount: $6,195/yr

Length of Eligibility: Up to six years for undergraduate students depending on program length.

How to Apply: Complete FAFSA every award year beginning October 1.

​​Deadline: Apply by March 2 to meet the Cal Grant deadline.

An incentive grant designed to encourage students to maintain full-time enrollment status between 12 to 15 units in order to graduate or transfer within two years.

Requirements: Be receiving a Cal Grant B or C; be enrolled in at least 12-15 units per semester; and have a student education plan (SEP) on file.

Award Amount: $1,298/yr (12-14.5 units); $4,000/yr (15+ units)

Length of Eligibility: Maximum of two years
