Austin Riggs is currently attending Citrus College and studying political science. Appointed to the Measure G Bond Oversight Committee in June 2020, Mr. Riggs will serve a one-year term, fulfilling the requirement of student representative on the committee. Mr. Riggs is currently serving as the student trustee to the Citrus College Board of Trustees, representing the Associated Students of Citrus College (ASCC).
Volunteer experience by Mr. Riggs includes serving as an intern at the city of Glendora in the clerk's office. He also worked on the Measure G bond campaign with the Glendora Education Foundation as the head student coordinator, where he assisted with phone calls, administrative duties and door-to-door campaigning. Other activities, he participated in are the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) conference, the California Association of Directors of Activities (CADA) conference, and the American Legion’s Boys State leadership and citizenship program.
Mr. Riggs feels this appointment will be a great opportunity to learn and gain a new perspective about the Citrus College Measure G bond program. He looks forward to providing input and representing his student constituents.
