Citrus College offers a home health aide program during the winter and summer intersessions. This program is approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
This 40-hour program is designed for current CNA's to expand their existing role to home care settings and home health aide agencies. The program consists of 20 hours of theory and 20 hours of clinical experience. Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a certificate of completion from the program and will be certified by the California Department of Public Health as a home health aide.
Departmental approval is required to enroll in the class. Only 15 students will be admitted on a first come, first served basis. Students must attend a mandatory orientation to receive the application and further program information.
The home health aide program mandatory orientation information session covers the program requirements in detail with the nurse assistant instructor.
No pre-registration is required, but you will need to take notes during the Zoom meeting.
All application packet information must be
complete and
turned in no later than one week prior to the health sciences office (PC 204) before being considered for enrollment. Acceptance is based on a first come, first served basis.
Orientation is
MANDATORY to receive the NA or HHA program application packet and checklist for possible enrollment.
