Twenty-two fifth grade students from the Glendora Unified School District have successfully started the 2018-2019 Junior Rocket Owls program at Citrus College. The young students work in teams under the facilitative leadership of the Citrus Rocket Owls to design, build and fly model rockets, while applying physics principles to predict the performance of their rockets and use mathematical models to analyze their data. View a short YouTube of the fifth graders presenting their rockets and scientific experiments!
The 2018-2019 Junior Rocket Owls program wrapped up with a Symposium that took place on January 26. Click here to review a brief video showcasing this event.
