Focus on Calculus Peer Mentoring Pilot: Eleven peer mentors serving students in pre-calculus and trigonometry to mentor them through these difficult classes. For more information, contact Lucia Riderer.

Summer Research Experience CSUF: 6/15 – 8/7, 2009

STEM Summer Camp at University of La Verne: 7/6 – 7/24, 2009
Ten Citrus students acted as Teaching Assistants with ULV faculty at this camp for high school students, operated by ULV. All ten had the opportunity to attend the week before to work with ULV faculty on research projects. For more information, contact Dana Hester.
PAGE (Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry Enrichment): 6/15 – 7/30, 2009
Serving about 530 students: approximately 200 on the Citrus campus from across the district, 130 at Monrovia High School, and 200 at Duarte High School. For more information, contact Esmeralda Medrano.
The Science Summer Enrichment Academy: 6/15 - 6/25, 2009
One hundred elementary and middle school students from Glendora had a wonderful opportunity to participate at Citrus, where inquisitive students participated in science experiments including chemistry (cabbage juice pH reactions, Kool Aid spectrophotometry); biology (microbes in food preparation, hand washing, DNA); anatomy (the heart).
