The Greater Avenues of Independence (GAIN) program provides employment training, education and job placement to recipients of Aid to Families with Dependent Children in California.
Ms. Wendy Yang, Pomona GAIN representative, meets with students in the CalWORKs office once a month. CalWORKs students can ask questions or address concerns they have regarding their particular case. Some of the questions students have asked about relate to their childcare, Job Club, 32/35 hour activity requirement, and letters they may have received from their GAIN or Eligibility Workers which need clarification.
