Citrus College to Host Special Dia De Los Muertos Celebration
What:
The Citrus College Latina Leadership Network, Associated Students of Citrus College and Latinos Unidos Student Association are sponsoring a special Dia De Los Muertos celebration that will be held on campus this week.
The event will include a historic overview of this festive tradition, music, and altar displays for family members who have passed on. A special Veterans altar dedicated to the fallen members of the United States armed forces will also be on display. Tamales and pan dulce will be available for purchase.

Why:
This is an ancient holiday in which Mexican families remember their dead and celebrate the continuity of life. It is not a morbid occasion, but rather a festive time.
Citrus College is hosting this event as a means of promoting diversity, encouraging cultural understanding, and enhancing unity.
How:
Admission is free. Parking for campus visitors is $5.
