DATABASE ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS for DSL USERS
from OFF campus only using INTERNET EXPLORER
1. Get a Citrus Photo ID in the Library, then get a USER NAME and PASSWORD in the Open Computer Lab in IS 107.
2. At home, connect to the Internet.
3. Go to the Citrus College Library Home Page http://www.citruscollege.edu/library
4. Configure your INTERNET EXPLORER browser, as directed below. (Configuring only has to be done once.)
4a. Click on the TOOLS menu on Internet Explorer
4b. Select INTERNET OPTIONS
4c. Click the CONNECTIONS tab
4d. Click LAN SETTINGS
4e. Check the box Use a proxy server
4f. In the address box, enter libpx.citruscollege.com
In the PORT box, enter 80
4g. Click OK.
4h. Click OK again
5. On the Citrus Library home page, click on DATABASES/JOURNAL ARTICLES.
6. A box appears. Enter your User Name and Passwords.
7. When finished using the databases, remove the check mark next to proxy.
