The Foundation sponsors one special event annually and co-sponsors other events in order to maintain visibility in the community, build relationships and raise a modest amount of revenue. Volunteers organize, plan and conduct these special events.

Valley's Got Talent Show · Sunday, January 30, 2011
The Citrus College Foundation and the Citrus College Fine and Performing Arts Department joined together to host Valley's Got Talent at the Haugh Performing Arts Center on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 2 p.m. Modeled after some of television's most popular talent shows, local amateur performers were showcased before an audience of close to 1,000 people. Music and television industry professionals reviewed the talent, and chose who they believe are among the Valley's very best performers. The first place winner, Elements Dance Cru of West Covina, won a $1,000 cash prize and second place winner Ferrol Brown of Azusa received a cash prize of $500. Proceeds from this event were used to benefit the Foundation and to provide scholarships for deserving students.

A Taste of Autumn · Sunday, October 4, 2009  A Tasteof Autumn event
An annual gourmet food and wine extravaganza with music and entertainment. It is held in the fall on the Citrus College campus. This event features many of the areas most popular restaurants and wineries, a silent auction, art exhibit and sale, and entertainment by the Citrus Singers, the Citrus College Jazz Combo, and Night Shift. The Citrus College Foundation sponsored the opening performance of the Citrus Theatre Company 2009 production of Love Letters. Friends of the Foundation attended the opening night performance and enjoyed the intermission refreshments that were provided by the Foundation. The performance by Cherie Brown and Doug Goetz was wonderful and well received. This event has inaugurated a new partnership between the Performing Arts Program and the Foundation which will hopefully grow in future years.
