Hybrid Course: Meeting every Tuesday from 5:30PM - 9:50 PM in Room ED 205
Please note: I uphold academic integrity and am committed to your learning. As a result, this course requires your responsibility and commitment to learn, including completion of all assignments. This course is a general education course that requires a lot of work; for each 3-unit course, it is recommended that a student ought to devote 135 hours to this course. For this 6-week course, you will be spending 22-24 hours per week. Please do not enroll in this course unless you are committed to complete it.

Welcome to our class! This class follows the traditional semester calendar; therefore, our class starts January 5, 2010. We Meet EVERY Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. - 9:50 p.m. at Citrus College in classroom ED 205.
Required textbooks for this course are:
Beebe, S. (2007). Public Speaking Handbook (6th Ed.). Needham Heights, MA: Allyn and Bacon. Wrapped free with the Beebe textbook is Van Horn, T. & Reineck, M. (2005). Allyn & Bacon VideoWorkshop: Public Speaking Student Learning Guide with Speech CD-ROM. (2nd Ed.). Boston, MA: Pearson Education, Inc. (Be sure to purchase the version that has the VideoWorkshop CD-ROM and student workbook included with the Beebe textbook.)
PLEASE NOTE: When you email professor Van Horn regarding the hybrid distance ed course, please put IN as the first word in your email subject line.

Once you get to the welcome page, click on the Public Address course link on the right, and you will go to the course site. Please familiarize yourself with the course site and if you have any questions please email your instructor with your concerns. Get your textbook and get started with your initial assignments. A major key to your success in this course will be keeping up with both the reading and the other assignments.
