Course Description: Welcome to CSIS230 DE, an online course that will teach you advanced Microsoft Office 2007 Applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). This course is designed for college transfer students.

 
Course Introduction: All of the specific information for this course can be found in my "Orientation/Introduction" link in http://citruscollege.blackboard.com 
 
In general you will be responsible for the following tasks when you enroll in this course.
  1. Install the SAM2007 software on your home computer in order to complete the quizzes and exams as scheduled on the syllabus. If you do not have a computer, you can use the computers in room IS107. The SAM software is already installed on these computers.
  2. Register your SAM2007 software at http://sam2007.course.com to activate your PIN (Personal Identification Number) that is valid for one semester.
  3. Obtain course assignments, quiz and exam information on my Blackboard site (see below)
  4. Read the syllabus and "Orientation/Introduction" information for this course.
Your final grade will be based on sixteen quizzes and four exams that you must complete via the SAM2007 (Skills Assessment Manager 2007) software.
 
The Blackboard login procedure may not be operational until the first day of the semester. After this date if you still cannot log on to Blackboard, please contact the Distance Education Office by phone or email - online@citruscollege.edu

Blackboard and WingSpan Information
(Notice:  All Blackboard courses will be available on the first day of classes)
Blackboard --> http://citruscollege.blackboard.com 
WingSpan --> https://wingspan.citruscollege.edu  

  • Update email on WingSpan so it will transfer to Blackboard
  • Your WingSpan ID becomes your Blackboard Username
  • Your WingSpan PIN number (six digits only) becomes your Blackboard password
  • To change these on Blackboard requires you change them on WingSpan
  • Data will be transferred from WingSpan to Blackboard on a regular basis

Once you get to the welcome page, click on the Microcomputer Applications II  course link on the right, and you will go to the course site. Please be familiarized yourself with the course site and if you have any questions please email your instructor with your concern. Get your textbook and get started with your initial assignments. A major key to your success in this course will be keeping up with both the reading and the other assignments.
