CLASS HOURS: Tuesday 7-9 pm. Library
GRADING in this class will be on the point system with points being earned for: homework, quizzes, paper, midterm and final. Your final letter grade at the end of the semester will be determined by the percentage of points you earned based on the following scale: will be based on a percentage Homework 50% A 90-100 Quizzes 10% B 80-89 Midterm 15% C 70-79 Written Report 10% D 60-69 Final Exam 15% F 0-59 Homework is 50% and refers to all assignments which are given and asked to turn in. Quizzes refer to unannounced quizzes which will be given during regular class meetings. The lowest quiz grade will be thrown out. Quizzes equal 10% of the total points. Quizzes must be made up before the next class meeting. Reports - Written - Each student will write a paper on some aspect of Acquisition. Paper equal 10% of the grade. EXAMINATIONS - The midterm exam will be given on the 7th week of the semester. The exam will be worth 15% of the grade. The final exam will be given at the end of the semester and will cover the entire course. It will be worth 15% of the total possible points.
ABSENCES - After three unexcused absences you may be dropped from the course.
STUDENT DROP - The last day to drop this class without record is October 16, 2000. If you wish to withdrawn from this class it is your responsibility to complete all the necessary forms in the Admissions Office. At the end of the course all enrolled students will be given a letter grade. Any missing assignments or tests will be recorded as a zero and used to figure the final grade.
HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS should be typed.
AUTOMATED ACQUISITION SYSTEM ASSIGNMENT requires the use of microcomputer and must be completed at Citrus.
ALL ASSIGNMENTS ARE DUE BY Dec. 5.
Students with any needs requiring special accommodation to successfully complete this course should contact Shirley Porch.
Cheating may result from removal from class.
Due to the small size of the classroom the mending and laminating class will be broken into smaller classes. There will be video tapes to watch in Audiovisual in place of the class.
