Welcome Message from Cliff Hadsell, Ph.D., Paramedic

female EMT with ambulance on highway

In recent years, the demand for health services has been increasing and the shortage of health personnel continues to be critical. With an accelerated growth of population in California and the rapid advancement in medical technology, in-service training is one approach to meeting the challenges of the future.

The Citrus College Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) class can provide you with the skills and training necessary to work in the growing health care field as an EMT-B.

The Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) class integrates anatomy and physiology with basic life support skills, trauma care, expanded scope of practice, emergency vehicle operations and professional behavior. The student will have real experience in a local emergency department and in an ambulance. They will qualify for the Los Angeles County and National Registry Certification.
